At the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, NY players from all the around the state gathered to see who the new New York champs would be. In the end the top eight would qualifiy for the National Championship. They were Nicholas Rice from the Cato Hotel, Kelly Gerardi from Tankards Tavern, Mike Morrow from McGillicuddy's, Chris Wells from Crossroads, Gary Lackey from Log Cabin Inn, Tyson Evensen from Parting Glass, Anthony Larocca from the Bold O'Donoghues, and Duane Goodwin from Crossroads. Ironically Duane had just turned in a scratchcard with quad five's a week before. He is now double stacked at Nationals. Former NY champ Gary Mell took down the sidegame for a spot in the Nationals to round out the nine.
Recently at the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, NY players from all over the state of NY gathered to see who the final eight players would be to secure their spot in the National Championship in Las Vegas. When it was all said and done the final eight were: Duane Stocum, Stan Coulter, Jon McDonald, David Sader, Bill Lucas, Robert Berger, Adam Lawrence, and Vince Decicco. All eight players have won their spot at the FPN National Championship on June 29th at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and all eight are guaranteed a WSOP buy-in. Depending on how they finish at the National Championship will determine what amount WSOP buy-in they get.
As a added bonus the winner of the NY State Championship Duane Stocum won $1,000 for taking the tournament down. There was also a second chance freeroll that Tyson Evenson won to win a spot at Nationals. Tyson had already qualified for National by scratching off four of a kind and will start the day with a double chip stack and 20,000.

For the two pair or better monthly drawing there were about 125 entrants. Tyson Evensen was the lucky winner who got pulled out of those 125. Tyson scratched off a full house sevens over fives. He got his card from the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, New York. He has now qualified for the National Championship this summer. Congratulations Tyson.
The New York state championship will be played on Saturday, May 11th at the Parting Glass bar in Saratoga Springs. The tournament will begin at 1pm with an 12pm registration. Good luck and we hope to see you there!
Larry Masick from the Bedrock Inn in Schenectady, NY has won the perfect attendance drawing for November. Larry showed up all four weeks in the month to get qualified. Larry will now have a great opportunity at winning $1,000 or at least flood the monthly drawing for two pair or better as Larry will receive 100 scratch cards to try his luck.
