Clark's Place in Harrisonville will host the regional playoffs for the fall qualifiers of the Sin City Showdown-WSOP SATURDAY, JAN 22ND starting at 12:30pm. 35 players have qualified for this event. Good luck!
Jeff Steiner past grand prize winner of the Desert Heat promotion has done it again! This past weekend Jeff faced off against 14 other players all with the same goal to win a spot in the Gold Rush 2 National Championship. At the National Championship at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas $20,000 will be up for grabs between 26 players with first place being $5,000 cash. About half way through the Missouri state championship Jeff picked up pocket 10's and hit a set on the flop. When the river came it was the best scenario Jeff could have wished for as the board paired giving him a full house, but giving his opponent a ace high flush. Both players got all their chips in the middle with Jeff scooping the pot.
The hand made Jeff the chip leader and from there on out Jeff was able to manage his way through the tournament taking it down as he has done it before. Jeff is excited to go back to Vegas and hopes his luck runs a little better then last time. Congratulations Jeff and we look forward to seeing you again in December!
Congratulations to John Russell for winning the Missouri region. John competed against 13 other players from the Flaming Lantern and Clarks Place. At the end of the tournament John had collected all the chips giving the Flaming Lantern their second consecutive win. By winning John won
himself airfare and hotel on the Vegas strip and while in Las Vegas, John will join 24 other players from around the country to compete in
the Free Poker Network National Championship at Caesar's Palace at the
end of April. In all $12,000 worth of buy-ins will be distributed to
the 25 players with first place being a $5,000 World Series of Poker
circuit event at Caesar's Palace.
On Saturday, May 15, 24 regional qualifiers gathered at Clark's Place in Harrisonville, MO, to see who would be crowned the next Missouri State Champion for our Destination Las Vegas promotion. With four players holding double chips it looked like the group was in for some fierce Texas Hold'em tournament action.
The Flaming Lantern held the first ever Missouri state championship on Monday September 14th. There were a total of 10 players trying to become the first ever Free Poker Network Missouri state champion. In the end Jeff Steiner was the eventual winner and now holds the rights to say he is the first ever FPN Missouri state champion. Congratulations Jeff and we look forward to seeing you at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas!!!
