Players who enjoy poker nights hosted at Mable Murhpy’s and Z103 Bar & Grill in Fergus Falls have reason to be excited as one of their own, Travis Schumaker, was crowned National Champion after winning the Free Poker Network national final at the Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas. Schumaker earned a $10,000 Heartland Poker Tour “Dream Package”, consisting of $2,000 cash, three (3) Heartland Poker Tour main event buy-ins, and airfare/hotel accommodations. Travis ran deep in the HPT Stratosphere event and cashed $7,702 for 15th place.
Long time player Craig Morningstar from Rich's bar in Annandale, MN was the big winner in July. He showed up all five Wednesday's at Rich's bar and was drawn for the July perfect attendance. Just by showing up he has won a spot at the National Championship in Las Vegas! Congrats Craig!
Joel Smith, the most recent FPN National Champion is gearing up for the WSOP Main Event tomorrow July 7th for his chance at millions of dollars. Joel recently won the National Championship in Las Vegas not even two weeks ago and tomorrow will be seated into the $10,000 Main Event. Janet Borth from Bovey, MN was the lucky winner recently for the March 2 pair or better drawing. Janet turned in trip aces to get herself qualified for the drawing. By having her card pulled she has now qualified for the Vegas Vacation National Championship on Friday, May 29th in Las Vegas. Congrats Janet.
Trena Kolstad from Jumping Jacks in Isanti, MN became the first person qualified for the Casino Royale National Championship in Oct/Nov. Trena simply showed up all four weeks in April to get qualified and was randomly drawn. Congrats Trena!
Kelly Cadwell from the Twin Cities area was the latest winner to qualify for the National Championship on May 29th. Kelly's name was randomly drawn in the perfect attendance drawing. Kelly played all four weeks at Old Chicago in Eden Prairie to get qualified. It's as easy as that.
