Renee Held Wins WWE Package
Playing FPN Online has paid off for long time league player Renee Held from Columbus, Nebraska. She outlasted 1,045 other players online in the $1,700 WWE Event Championship. Early on she was down to 230 chips, but continued to keep battling.
Renee said, "The river was good to me" and in a matter of three hours was the last player left. The prize includes airfare and hotel to Oakland, California for the February 20th WWE Chamber Elimination Pay Per View event! Congrats Renee, it's great to hear about another league player winning big playing free poker!
FPN Expands to Denver
For the first time in league history the Free Poker Network has expanded to Denver, Coloardo. JR's Bar & Grill located at 777 E 17th Ave in Denver will be playing on Monday nights starting on February 14th with a start time of 7pm. The Free Poker Network is excited to offer the league in Denver as there are a lot of poker players around and we hope to see them out at JR's.
Keith Bunkowske Latest Perfect Attendance Winner!
Keith Bunkowske from Billy's Corner Bar in Vergas, MN was the latest perfect attendance drawing winner for the Fall Quarter. Keith played all 11 Mondays at Billy's during the quarter. He took 1st overall in November to qualify for the regional playoffs. Keith won a $250 buy-in to a Heartland Poker Tour in March! Free Spirit Lounge In Indianapolis brings Indiana Back In The League
Attention Indianapolis players! The league will be in full swing at the Free Spirit Lounge in Indianapolis (8110 North Shadeland Ave) on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Compete for nightly prizes and to qualify for the playoffs this spring. The overall winner in Indiana will earn a trip to Las Vegas and a seat in the exclusive national final where eleven (11) seats to the 2011 World Series of Poker will be up for grabs! Good luck!
Craig Behrens Wins Jan 1st Sin City Showdown Qualifier
Craig Behrens from Sioux Falls, SD broke through on Saturday evening, winning the monthly championship online for a trip to Las Vegas and a seat in the Sin City Showdown national final! Craig has been a regular in the league, having made 4 state championship tournaments in the past. It turns out 2011 might be his big year...Craig was the lone survivor among 130 players who qualified for the monthly final, he plays at Senor Wiener in Sioux Falls and is currently qualified for the fall playoffs. Larry Johnson from West Fargo, ND placed runner up and will receive an iPod Shuffle. Both winners prove it pays to play those game cards!
