Battle of the shortstacks. Justin Glanz busted to Roman after both players survived all-ins to survive in previous hands. The celebration has begun. Next week we will upload lots of photos and additional stories about this tournament. A BIG THANKS TO ST CROIX CASINO FOR HOSTING THIS CHAMPIONSHIP! THEY WERE GREAT! 11:15PM JOEL SMITH FELTED Joel Smith busted to Skip Wood, finishing 7th. Joel was very gracious in defeat. We're now 1 player away... 11:05PM DOWN TO 7 Craig Belgarde 9th & John Zindler 8th busted. Roman Wieme survived an all in with Joel Smith. Joel held AQ, Roman A6. Roman beat the odds and outflopped Joel to stay alive for a 100k pot. It's hard not to root for Joel. He has been playing in the league from the very beginning in the Vergas, MN area. He finished runner up for a trip to the Bahamas back in 06 and followed that up with another final table appearance the next fall. Hard to see him take a bad beat at this point with the top 5 earning the grand prize. 10:50PM ADIN BAILEY BUSTED Adin lost a race with AQ vs Jim Samuelson's 10-10. He goes out in 10th place. 7th thru 10th each get $100 cash, commemorative tshirt and hat. 10:30PM Mitch Schock announced the final table players. The adrenalin is high. The crowd is pumped up, the drinks are flowing, and everyone is having a good time. The blinds are 15000/30000 with a 3000 ante. The big dog chips are in play (25k).
