UPDATED! The Free Poker Network has partnered with the Father Hennepin Festival for a day of fun and poker on Saturday, June 13th.  Check in time is at 3:30 and the tournament will start at 4:00.  There will be some great prizes given away and it is FREE to play.  The festival is located at 651 west river rd in Champlin at the Mississippi Point Park in the BEER tent.

The weather for the Father Hennepin Festival was perfect, low 80's and sunny.  The beer tent was alive with music as the 40 players took their seats to get going.  The tournament lasted almost four hours.  In the end Betty Kurtz who was brand new to Texas Hold'em ended up taking fourh place winning a chip set.  Betty's comments afterwards were, "I think I like this game."  

Laura Gaustad finished in third place winning a Target gift card.  The heads up battled lasted for almost 30 minutes with Chris James from Champlin taking third place.  Tony Meuleners from Dayton won the event with both players winning Target gift cards.

Thanks for all the players that showed up and had fun playing in the third annual Free Poker Network event at the Father hennepin Festival.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
