Ed Flynn from Jad's Caddyshack, Jeff Busick from Hightopps, and Don White from Jad's Caddyshack are getting ready to play for their
chance to win a 7-day cruise package for two. All three players made it
through the Maryland regional and will compete against 16 other players
from around the nation for an exclusive 19 person tournament with the
winner receiving the cruise package. While on-board the cruise there
will be a 10 person tournament with the winner receiving a $10,000
Grand Prize package to Las Vegas with multiple tournament buy-ins
featuring two World Series of Poker events.
The online tournament that Ed, Jeff, and Don will compete in, will be
held on Sunday February 22nd at 7:00 EST. Any player that would like
to watch can download our software from our homepage to watch the
tournament and root the players on.
The championship for the Ship It! promotion for Maryland poker players will be held on Saturday January 31st at 5:00 pm. It will be held at Jad's Caddyshack in Essex. We wish all the players the best of luck
With the first session of Ship It! in the books we have seven new players that have clinched their playoff spot. The ironic thing is this will be the first playoffs apperance for everyone of them. Not one person in the previous two promotions that made the playoffs was able to make it again in session one, but there is still hope as session two hasn't wrapped up yet.
But a big congratulations is in order for the following players from Jad's Caddyshack Vinny Previti, Michael Blanton, Ed Flynn, and Vincent Sakowski. And playing out of Hightopps Tyler Alfeldt, Jeff Busick, and Jeff Pritchard as all seven will be grinding it out trying to come aboard to set sail.
The Regional Championship Tournament is almost here! One lucky winner will win airfare and hotel to Las Vegas to compete in the National Championship. At the National Championship we will be awarding 8 seats into a World Poker Tour Event and also 1 bonus World Series of Poker seat.
On June 29th at the Orleans Casino in fabulous
Las
Vegas 25 players from all over the country had flown
in for a shot at the coveted World Series of Poker main event seat worth
$10,000. Bob Blair from Hightopps Backstage Grille in Timonium was among the last 25 players remaining in the Destination Las Vegas promotion. Bob had won $1,000 in travel expenses from the league to make his way to Las Vegas.
It was a fun time meeting Bob as he represented Maryland well, making it half way through the field. But the dream of winning it ended in 17th place. Bob's spirits still remained high as it was a nice get away vacation for him. He looks forwarded to making another championship appearance in the future as he is off to a great start by winning his league at Hightopps in the first session of the Vegas Invasion promotion.
