Pricilla Willey from the Dragon Bar, Mike Laracca from the Dragon Bar, and Eddie Huff from J.D. Legends will soon compete for the tenth and final spot on-board the Norwegian Spirit. They will play in an on-line championship consisting of 19 players from around the country with the winner receiving a 7-day cruise package for two. This is the culimination of the Ship It! promotion, where each player played weekly at their home town bars and qualified through the regionals.
While on-board they will play in two tournaments, the first being a chance at a World Poker Tour $10,000 seat and the second a chance at the Highroller package. The Highroller tournament will consist of the 10 players who all won a cruise package through the Free Poker Network. The winner of that 10 person tournament will win a $10,000 dream poker vacation to Las Vegas which includes multiple buy-ins featuring two World Series of Poker buy-ins.
The on-line championship will be held on Sunday February 22nd at 7:00 EST on our Free Poker Network software. Anyone that would like to follow along can go to our homepage and download the software.
Congratulations to Stephanie Crockett from the Drgaon Bar and Grill in Frankfort as she has secured her playoff spot in the Ship It! promotion. Stephanie is no stranger to the playoffs as she was the winner of the last promotion Vegas Invasion. We had a great time meeting Stephanie in Las Vegas during the Vegas Invasion playoffs. This was almost her third championship apperance as she just missed out in the Destination Las Vegas promotion ending up being the bubble spot the first go around, but definitely made up for it in the next promotion. Now she has the experiance to possibly become our first two time champion.
The Regional Championship Tournament is almost here! One lucky winner will win airfare and hotel to Las Vegas to compete in the National Championship. At the National Championship we will be awarding 8 seats into a World Poker Tour Event and also 1 bonus World Series of Poker seat.
Brian Young Jr. from JD Legends in Nicholasville took his seat at the Orleans Casino in fabulous
Las
Vegas on June 29th with a shot at the $10,000 WSOP main event seat grand prize. He was of the exclusive 25 players from around the country who had won $1000 worth of travel expenses to play in the national final.
Brian did not take it down but had fun in Vegas. The eventual winner was Clay
Lipke from Breezy Point in
Minnesota. Clay also won a $1500 buy in seat (Event #52) in the league, so he got to play in 2 WSOP events! National Championship report/details.
Brian Young Jr battled a field of 20 players to capture
the first ever Kentucky Championship. Brian qualified through JD Legends making only 16 of the possible 27 tournaments, but when he was there he made it count.
