Mitch Schock Makes Another Final Table at WSOP Print E-mail
Monday, 08 June 2009

Mitch is playing today (6-23) in the $2,500 Omaha Hi-Low split 8's or better.  He is set up on our twitter page and will be making tweets from the tournament so we can follow along.  Click here to follow us on twitter.

Mitch has now cashed FOUR times so far in this year's WSOP!  He made a big run at the final table of the H.O.R.S.E. event #31, taking 3rd place for $100k.  There were 770 entrants, and a "who's who" list of poker pros.

Mitch is a well known to many poker leaguers in the upper midwest.  He is the one usually emceeing league championship events with his wild and animated personality.

He also made the final table in the 7-card stud event #16.  He took two tough beats which eventually led to his 8th place finish.

avatar Tue, 16 Jun 2009 21:22:16 Updated Chip Counts Mitch Schock - 1,075,000 Bryan
Micon - 620,000 Shannon Shorr - 620,000 James Van Alstyne - 450,000 Brian
Malcolm - 400,000 Tad Jurgens - 317,000

Brian Malcolm Eliminated in 6th
Place ($39,183) Stud: 400,000 chips can vanish in a hurry with limits at 25,000
and 50,000. Brian Malcolm, already stuck a few chips since the break, completed
third street then called a raise by Mitch Schock. Malcolm check-called on fourth
street, called a bet on fifth street, and called all in on sixth street. Neither
player improved on their initial pair. Schock's jacks therefore took down the
pot over Malcolm's fives, sending Malcolm to the rail in sixth place with
$39,183.

Razz: Mitch Schock brought it in, then reraised to put Shannon Shorr all in
after Shorr completed the . Shorr called and we started flipping cards, Schock
was good enough to eliminate Shorr, who mustered only K-J-4-3-A. Shorr leaves
