Congratulations to Bob Winegar (pictured sitting down in middle) from Kabob's who became the first ever Free Poker Network New Jersey Champion!  Bob along with 8 other players from Kabob's came together on Saturday January 30th to play down to one winner to see who would be representing the state of New Jersey.  Bob snuck into the playoffs and had his work cut out for him as three people Laura Schauble, Chris Carlson, and Dave O'Hare had double chip stacks.

Not only did Bob have to go through eight great players, three double chip stacks, but when it was heads up Bob was the underdog with a 3 to 1 chip deficit.  After battling back and eventually taking the chip lead Bob was able to hang on and win.  

By winning Bob won himself airfare and hotel on the Vegas strip and while in Las Vegas, Bob will join 24 other players from around the country to compete in the Free Poker Network National Championship at Caesar's Palace at the end of April.  In all $12,000 worth of buy-ins will be distributed to the 25 players with first place being a $5,000 World Series of Poker circuit event at Caesar's Palace.

{sidebar id=8}The league welcomes Kabob's in Glasser, New Jersey!  Kabob's will be hosting leagues on Saturdays and Sundays with games at 2pm & 4pm starting the weekend of September 19th-20th.  Come out to Kabob's to compete for fun and a chance to win the awesome grand prizes up for grabs.  

There are two ways to win grand prizes in the league:  1) Play regularly and climb the leaderboard to qualify and then take down the New Jersey regional championship. 2) Earn gamecards during weekly play for 2nd chance qualifying tournaments online.
